An alternative scientific notation that utilizes graphical symbols instead of Latin or Greek letters will be presented. This notation supports visual reasoning and serves as an intuitive aid in problem solving. In the context of tensor algebra, it has been developed by Roger Penrose. Historical aspects of scientific notation and its relation to our cognitive functions will be discussed as well.
