Pursuant to § 7 sections 1 and 3 of Resolution No. 68/IX/2020 of the Senate of the Jagiellonian University of 30 September 2020 on: the rules of recruitment for the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences at the Jagiellonian University in the academic year 2020/2021, the Director of the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences announces a competition for 1 doctoral student/s with a scholarship financed from the research project (“Implementation PhD”) funds as part of the PhD study programme Biology.
The project manager, dr hab. Elżbieta Kołaczkowska, prof. UJ offers an opportunity to complete the doctorates in the following area: Development of small-molecule imunomodulators of human immune system as a novel line of anicancer therapy.

After the interviews and the evaluation of the candidates, the Chairman of the committee presents a report to the Director containing a list of candidates recommended for admission to the school as part of the research project.

Employer's declaration of emplying a doctoral student
Candidate's profile:
- Higher education (Master's degree in the field of Biotechnology (preferable) or in Biology)
- Experience in conducting research in the field of immuno-oncology documented by scientific publications and / or conference reports
- Practical knowledge of the techniques necessary to start the project implementation: flow cytometry, AlphaLISA, qPCR, FERT
- Knowledge of the English language at the advanced level (documented with a certificate)
- Experience in working in a biotechnology company
An additional advantage will be:
- Experience in planning and conducting biomedical research
- Experience in conducting research in the field of small molecule kinase inhibitors and their use in oncological therapies,
- Experience in working with primary cells and cell line
